#TCCBasketball: Eagle women grind out win vs. Angelina

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (November 4, 2017) – NJCAA No. 7/Region 8 No. 3 Tallahassee Community College defeated Angelina (Texas) College on Saturday, 59-48, to wrap up play in the Arkansas Baptist College Season Tip-off Classic. 

Tallahassee (2-0) will return home Sunday then have a short turnaround before traveling to Santa Fe College on Tuesday. 

The Eagles led 17-8 after one quarter and extended the lead to double-digits, 30-20, at the intermission. 

Tallahassee outscored the Roadrunners, 16-13, in the third to extend its lead to 46-33. 

A day after recording a triple-double, Japonica James delivered another double-digit scoring effort, totaling 18 points to pace Tallahassee. 

Angelina's Natasha Mack, considered by some to be the top freshman in the country, led all players with 25 points, but the Eagles limited the rest of the lineup to just 23 points combined. 

Tuesday's game will tip off at 5:30 p.m. in Gainesville.
