TALLAHASSEE, Fla. (September 15, 2017) – Tallahassee Community College will open its fall baseball schedule on Sunday with a pair of games at the annual Chipola College Fall Classic.

The Eagles will play Wallace (Ala.) Community College-Dothan at 11 a.m. followed by a 1:30 p.m. tilt with St. Johns River State College.

Hurricane Irma prompted a one-week layoff just as fall practice swung into action and forced the postponement of the first two scheduled dates on the Eagles' fall slate – September 10 vs. Team Elite and September 14 vs. Polk State College. As a result, the next six weeks become more of a sprint, as opposed to a marathon, for head coach Mike McLeod as he works towards the 26-man spring roster.

Tallahassee's fall home opener is Thursday, September 21 vs. Team Canada (5 p.m.). A trip to the University of West Florida for a pair of games on September 28 follows and sets the table for a full month of October.

The Eagles will travel to the Gulf Coast State College Fall Tournament for a twin bill on October 6 and host their own Round Robin event on October 20 and 21. The latter will bring all five Panhandle Conference teams to Eagle Field, where Tallahassee will play its four conference rivals during the two-day event.

In between, Tallahassee will play a home-and-home with neighboring Florida A&M University. The teams will play at Eagle Field on October 11 (5 p.m.) then back at Moore-Kittles Field a week later (October 18, 5 p.m.).

The Eagles' fall schedule closes with a trip to Santa Fe College on October 25 and the annual FCSAA Fall All-Star Classic in Lakeland, Fla., on October 28.
